About McCulloch Station Pub
A neighbourhood pub does a job that neither a restaurant nor a bar quite covers, somewhere you can eat a full meal, watch a game, or sit with one drink for an hour without anyone hurrying you along. McCulloch Station Pub keeps that role at 2789 K.L.O. Road in Kelowna's Rutland area, out on the eastern side of the city where the flats begin to give way to the benches.
Pubs vary in ways worth checking before you gather a group. Some are food led with a substantial kitchen, others drink led with a shorter menu; patios, pool tables, live music, sports coverage and whether minors are welcome at certain hours all differ from one house to the next. British Columbia licensing separates a pub from a full restaurant in ways that affect whether children can be seated and until when, so a call to 250-762-8882 is the sensible move if you are bringing family along. KLO Road runs east away from the lake, linking the Mission side of the city with the benchlands and the quieter roads that climb toward the hills. That puts this address within reach of the southeast neighbourhoods without demanding a trip through the middle of downtown, and the roads out this way move better than the highway corridor does at the same hour. Parking is generally easier here than closer to the water, and the evening light across the benches in late summer is a fair reason to linger.
