Muninn's Post Viking Feast Hall
About Muninn's Post Viking Feast Hall
A themed hall needs room and a crowd, and the upper end of Bernard Avenue gives it both. Muninn's Post Viking Feast Hall is at 575 Bernard Avenue in downtown Kelowna, on the part of the street where the retail thins out and the restaurants and licensed rooms take over, a few blocks up from the waterfront parks.
Feast halls and themed licensed venues generally run differently from a standard pub, and it is worth knowing how before turning up with a group. Long shared tables rather than small ones, platters and set menus built for sharing, and event nights that take over the whole floor are all common in this kind of room, which means one evening can look very different from the next. Larger parties usually need to be booked, and a venue built around groups will often have a minimum for the big tables. Anyone bringing children, or hoping for a quiet table for two, does well to ask what a given night looks like before committing to it.
This end of downtown is easy to reach on foot from the hotels and apartment blocks near the lake, which is how most people arrive in the evening. Street parking is metered but the restrictions lapse at night, and the parkades a block off Bernard cover the rest. Getting home matters more than getting there for a licensed room, and taxis and rideshare work the downtown blocks late. The routes out to Glenmore and the Mission are short drives, but not the sort of distance to attempt after a long evening.
