About Cyclepath Kelowna
Cycling in the central Okanagan covers a wide range of riding. The valley floor is flat and fast, the Mission Creek greenway and the old rail grades offer traffic free kilometres, and the benches and ridges above the city climb hard enough to punish a badly geared bike. A shop here serves commuters, trail riders and the summer visitors who arrive with a rack on the back of the car.
Springfield Road runs east and west through the middle of Kelowna, parallel to Harvey and a good deal quieter, and 2169 Springfield Road sits in the commercial band below Dilworth Mountain. That is a practical spot for a bike shop, within reach of the greenway corridor and the residential streets that feed it, and close enough to the centre of the city that riders from Rutland, Glenmore and the Mission can all get there without much of a drive.
If you are bringing a bike in, arrive with a clear description of the problem and, where you can, the bike itself rather than a photograph, since drivetrain and brake faults are usually diagnosed by feel. Spring is the crunch season in every bike shop in the valley, and tune up turnaround stretches once the weather breaks in March and April, so booking ahead makes a real difference then. Ask what is kept on hand for your particular setup before making the trip, and whether the type of bike you ride is serviced there, since electric assist bikes and suspension work both need equipment that not every shop carries.
