About Cora
Sitting down to a late morning meal is one of the small pleasures of a holiday in the valley, and it is also how a lot of Kelowna conducts its weekend business. Cora occupies a spot at 2271 Harvey Avenue in the Dilworth area, inside a complex large enough that dozens of other businesses share the same street address, which can make the front door slightly harder to find the first time.
Breakfast and lunch restaurants run on a different clock from dinner houses. The pressure lands mid morning and across the weekend, waits are longest on Saturday and Sunday, and a table for a larger group is far easier to get on a weekday. Calling ahead on 250-868-0880 is the sensible move for a party of six or more, and it is also the moment to raise an allergy or a dietary requirement so the kitchen hears it before the rush rather than during it. Highchairs, room for a stroller and food to take away are all reasonable things to confirm in the same call.
The Harvey Avenue corridor carries much of the city's east west traffic and slows noticeably through July and August when visitors arrive, so allow extra time in summer. A page for the Kelowna location, with the current menu, sits at chezcora.com. If you are staying downtown or in the Mission, this is a drive rather than a walk, which holds true for most things in a city that spreads out along the lake and up the slopes.
