Chachi's
About Chachi's
Food that has to be ready in a few minutes is a discipline of its own, and kitchens inside a shopping centre run it harder than most. Chachi's is one of the businesses at 2271 Harvey Avenue, sharing the address with the many other tenants of the centre that sits on the Dilworth side of Highway 97 as it cuts through Kelowna.
Counter service places differ in the parts of the job you only notice later. Whether you can order ahead by phone, whether there is seating or only a shared food court, how things are packed for a drive home to Rutland or the Mission, and how a large order for a work crew gets handled are all worth sorting out before you are standing at the front of the line. If you are feeding a group, phoning is almost always faster than queueing twice.
Harvey Avenue is Highway 97 running through the middle of Kelowna, and the traffic on this stretch shifts with the calendar. Summer brings visitors on top of the usual commuters and the shopping weeks before Christmas fill the corridor again, so allow more time than the distance alone suggests. The upside of the location is that everything sits under one roof and out of the weather, which counts for something in a city where July afternoons are genuinely hot and February is grey and damp rather than crisp. The number is 778-484-0122 for anyone who would rather arrange an order in advance.
