About BarBurrito
Between the downtown core and the southern neighbourhoods, Gordon Drive carries a steady stream of Kelowna traffic past the commercial cluster around Capri, where a great deal of the city's everyday errand running gets done. BarBurrito is on that line at 1729 Gordon Drive, at the downtown end of the run, which makes it an easy stop to fold into a trip through the middle of the city.
The build-your-own burrito counter is a format designed around speed and choice, and the customer makes most of the decisions. You choose the wrap or the bowl, the protein, the rice and beans, then the salsas and the extras, and the price generally moves with a handful of those choices rather than all of them. Ordering for a group goes far better if everyone's picks are written down before you reach the counter, because the line moves at the pace of the slowest decision. Bowls also travel better than wrapped burritos when the food has any distance to go, and a hot salsa packed on the side is easier to control at the other end. The chain page at barburrito.ca covers the practicalities for this address.
Traffic on Gordon thickens around the school run and again in the late afternoon, which is worth timing around if you are collecting an order. Heading south afterward toward Pandosy, the Lower Mission or Kettle Valley gives you a clear run down the same road, and downtown is only a few minutes north.
