Tasting your way along the Naramata Bench is a slow business, and it ought to be. Therapy Vineyards is at 940 Lower Debeck Road, on the slope of vineyard and orchard land stepping down toward the east shore of Okanagan Lake. The bench has no highway through it, only the winding road up from Penticton and the old railway grade above, so moving between properties takes longer than a map suggests.
What a vineyard business offers a visitor is not fixed across the industry. Some run a tasting bar and nothing more, some add a patio, food or events, and some give most of the year to the vines and only a fraction of it to the people who come to see them. Harvest in particular reorders everyone's priorities, and the weeks between late August and October belong to the fruit rather than to the calendar.

Naramata fills in summer with cyclists off the Kettle Valley grade, swimmers heading for the shoreline spots and drivers working through the wine roads, and the side roads on the bench are narrow enough that parking becomes a genuine consideration. Out of season the bench is a quiet place, and a call remains the only sensible way to plan around that.
