About Village Coin Laundry & Dry Cleaning
Not every home comes with a washer, and not every fabric belongs in one. Village Coin Laundry and Dry Cleaning covers both of those gaps from 555 Montgomery Road in Rutland.
A coin laundry earns its keep on the days a household machine cannot cope. Duvets, sleeping bags, floor mats, work coveralls and the aftermath of a camping weekend all go through one large front loader in a single pass instead of three, and a bank of dryers turns an afternoon of laundry into an hour. Bring change, or find out which machines take a card, before you arrive with a full basket. Cleaning runs on a different clock, so ask about turnaround at the drop off rather than assuming next day, and flag any stain out loud: what caused it and how old it is changes what can be done about it. Suits, uniforms, formal wear and anything with beading or a lining deserve a word before they go in.
Rutland fills the northeast quarter of Kelowna and holds a good share of the valley's more affordable housing, which means plenty of apartments, suites and shared rentals where a machine in the unit is not part of the deal. Seasonal workers pass through as well. A laundry serving that mix tends to be busiest at weekends and quieter in the middle of a weekday morning, so time a big load accordingly. Montgomery Road is a short hop off the main Rutland strip, which makes it easy to leave a wash running and finish other errands nearby.
