Kelowna General Hospital

A trip to the hospital is rarely one anybody plans for, and when it happens the address matters less than getting there and finding your way once inside. Kelowna General Hospital stands at 2268 Pandosy Street, a short distance south of downtown and within walking reach of the low-rise shops and beach access points that give this part of the city its village feel. Kelowna works as the service centre for the whole Okanagan, and hospital care is a large part of what that role means in practice. People come in from Vernon, Penticton, Lake Country and the smaller communities up and down the valley for appointments, tests and procedures they cannot arrange closer to home.

Parking is the practical thing to plan around. The site sits inside an established residential and commercial pocket of Pandosy, nearby street space fills early in the day, and the walk in from an overflow spot can take longer than you expect. Allow extra time for a morning appointment, bring your care card and any referral paperwork, and agree on a pickup point with your driver before you go inside. Summer traffic on Pandosy and Harvey moves slower than a map suggests.
