BNA Brewing
About BNA Brewing
Ellis Street runs through downtown Kelowna a block back from the busier frontage, in the part of the core where older commercial buildings have been taken on by restaurants, breweries and cultural venues rather than offices. It is a short walk from the waterfront parks and from the Bernard Avenue restaurants, which puts a brewery here within the evening circuit rather than out on an industrial edge.
Brewing operations in a downtown building generally combine production with a public room, which is a different proposition from a production-only brewery in a business park. The beer is made on site and the space is designed to be sat in, so what matters to a visitor is as much the room and the food as the brewing. Kelowna and the wider Okanagan have developed a substantial brewing scene alongside the established wine industry, and the downtown operations are the ones most easily visited without driving.
The address is 1250 Ellis Street, filed under breweries and distilleries. Hours, whether there is a kitchen, and whether tours or tastings are offered are all worth confirming directly. A tasting room operates at the same address under liquor stores, which is the retail side of the same operation rather than a separate business.
