University Way climbs into the hills at the northeast edge of Glenmore, where the family streets of the valley floor give way to steeper ground and wider views back over the city. Ballroom is at 3272 University Way, one of seven businesses at that street number, which is a normal arrangement where a single civic address covers a cluster of separate rooms and services.
Yoga studios differ from one another more than the shared word suggests. Some run a heated room, some teach slow restorative work, some lean toward strength and mobility, and a beginner session and a led intermediate one are not the same proposition at all. Worth settling before a first visit: whether drop-ins are welcome or classes have to be booked ahead, whether mats, blocks and straps are there to borrow or you bring your own, how a pass compares with paying each time, and what the cancellation window is, since studios of this kind almost always run on a reserved-spot system. Anyone working around a knee, a shoulder, a back injury or a pregnancy should raise it before the class begins rather than partway through.
Being up on the bench has consequences worth planning around. The drive from downtown Kelowna takes fifteen to twenty minutes on a good day, and coming across from Rutland or down off Black Mountain is a longer run than the map makes it look. Winter mornings are cooler and greyer up here than at lake level, and the last stretch of road climbs, so leave extra time in poor weather. Parking and step-free entry are both fair things to ask about at a hillside address with several businesses behind one number, and knowing which entrance to head for beats circling to find it.
