About Mount Boucherie Estate Winery
The old volcanic cone that gives this part of the valley its shape is wrapped in vines, and properties on its slopes take their name from it. Mount Boucherie Estate Winery is found at 829 Douglas Road in Lakeview Heights, sharing the address with one other business, with a phone line at +1-778-940-1526 and more at https://mtboucherie.com/.
Lakeview Heights is benchland, residential streets threaded between vineyard blocks on the slopes above Okanagan Lake, with broad views over the water and down toward the bridge. It is one of the most concentrated stretches of wine country on the west side, close enough to Westbank for supplies and close enough to Kelowna that a visit makes an easy afternoon from either shore. The roads here climb and curve, and signage at the turn offs matters more than mapping software.
Working out what a winery visit involves is best done before you drive up. Tasting formats vary widely, from a standing pour at a bar to a seated flight with a reservation and a fee, and whether that fee comes off a bottle purchase is a fair thing to ask. So is whether food is served, whether there is shaded seating for a warm afternoon, and how larger groups are handled. Harvest, through late September and October, is the busiest and most distracted stretch of the year at any estate, and winter across the valley generally means shorter days than summer, so a call ahead beats an assumption.
