Hair Salons
Blanca's Hairstyling
About Blanca's Hairstyling
Finding a hairdresser you keep going back to takes a while and a certain amount of luck. The work is technical, but the reason people stay is closer to trust: somebody who remembers what happened last time, and who will tell you honestly when the photograph you brought in on your phone is not going to happen on your hair.
Blanca's Hairstyling is at 2906 31 Ave, in the downtown blocks where the storefronts stand shoulder to shoulder and an appointment can be folded into the rest of an afternoon of errands. Salons differ in what they take on. Colour correction, perms, curly cutting, clipper work and children's cuts are not the same skill, and it is entirely fair to ask when booking whether the chair does the particular thing you want done.
Allow more time than you expect for anything involving colour, because processing will not be hurried and a rushed appointment is where results go wrong. Bring photographs of what you want and, if you have them, of what you have been unhappy with, since the second set is often more useful than the first. Say what has been done at home as well, box colour especially, because it changes what can safely be attempted in a single sitting and it is far better raised at the start than discovered halfway through.
