About Sushi Heaven
Timing is everything with sushi, more than with almost any other order that leaves a kitchen. It wants to be eaten close to when it is made, which makes the distance between counter and table part of the meal. Sushi Heaven is at 564 Main Street in the Penticton core, in a building it shares with two other businesses.
Kitchens working in this line differ from one another in ways a passer by cannot see. Some are built around a counter and a room, others around takeout volume, and the balance often shifts between lunch and dinner. Whether a place runs a full menu all day, breaks between services, takes reservations, or handles large group orders with any notice are all questions best put directly rather than guessed at. The same applies to allergies, which matter a great deal here given how many components go into a single order, and to anyone who needs a vegetarian version of a thing.
Downtown Penticton is a good place to be doing this. The core runs along Main Street a few blocks back from Okanagan Lake, parking is easy compared with a larger city, and the beach is near enough that food can be carried down to it. The season is the main variable to plan around: the city fills from June through September, evening service runs harder than the rest of the year, and calling an order ahead is the difference between waiting and not.

Where to shop in Penticton: small, walkable and mostly local
Penticton's shopping is smaller than Kelowna's and more its own thing: a Main Street of independents, specialty food shops that outclass their size, and Cherry Lane covering the mall tier.
