About Naramata Inn
Twelve room boutique hotel in a restored 1908 building in Naramata village, with an on site restaurant and wine bar.
The building at 3625 First Street in Naramata has been standing since 1908, when it first opened as the Naramata Hotel. Over the following century it passed through several lives, including stretches as a private residence and as a school, before a full restoration returned it to its original purpose. Today it operates as the Naramata Inn, a twelve room boutique hotel in the middle of the village, close enough to the lake that guests can walk down to the water in a few minutes.
The property's restaurant, Bistro Lapin Perdu, and its wine bar draw on the obvious advantage of the address: dozens of wineries within a short drive up and down the Naramata Bench, along with orchards and farms that supply produce through the growing season. Small hotels attached to a restaurant of this kind are common in wine regions, since overnight guests give a kitchen a ready audience for tasting menus and wine pairings that a purely drive in restaurant would struggle to fill on a quiet weeknight. Bicycles are available for guests who want to explore the surrounding roads or connect to the Kettle Valley rail trail nearby.
With only twelve rooms, availability is limited well before peak wine touring season, so booking ahead is worth doing earlier than for a larger hotel. The restaurant and wine bar are generally open to non guests as well, which is worth knowing for anyone staying elsewhere in Naramata who wants to eat there without a room booking.
