About Roca
Buying jewellery is rarely a quick errand, which is part of why the trade suits a walkable street better than a parking lot. Roca is found at 2917 Pandosy St, in the low-rise lakeside village south of downtown, in a building shared with a couple of other businesses. The Pandosy blocks reward browsing, and a jeweller sitting among cafes and small shops is an easy place to return to a second and third time before deciding.
What varies most from one jeweller to another is not the cases but the workshop. Some handle repairs, resizing, restringing and stone setting on site; others send the work out, which changes the timeline considerably. If you are bringing in a piece that matters to you, ask who will handle it, how long it will take and whether the work stays in house. The same applies to appraisals for insurance, custom commissions and the sourcing of particular stones, all of which are common in the trade but not universal in every shop.
For a wedding, an anniversary or a repair before a trip, allow more lead time than you expect, especially through the summer when Kelowna fills with visitors and events. Phoning first is sensible, since smaller storefronts along this stretch sometimes take consultations by appointment even when the door is open for browsing. Parking near the beaches gets tight on warm afternoons, so a morning visit generally makes for a calmer conversation.
