About Okanagan Dentistry
A city as spread out as Kelowna makes location matter more than it might elsewhere, and Okanagan Dentistry sits close to the middle of it at 1500 Hardy St, in the band of low commercial buildings below the Dilworth hillside. From there it is a short drive to downtown, Glenmore, Rutland and the Mission alike.
Choosing a dental office is mostly a matter of matching what you need to what a practice does day to day. General practices handle examinations, cleaning, fillings, crowns and the routine work of keeping a mouth in order, and refer out for the rest. Worth raising when you call: whether the office is taking new patients, how urgent problems are handled between booked appointments, whether hygiene is booked with the same visit or separately, and how billing works with your insurance, since direct billing is common but not universal. If you have records elsewhere, ask what is needed to request them.
Kelowna carries the region's hospitals along with the university campus in the hills to the northeast, so the city handles a great deal of the valley's health care, and clinics of every kind cluster in the commercial bands near the middle of it rather than out at the edges. This corner is part of that pattern. Traffic across the city is heaviest through the summer months and around the school run, so an earlier appointment often means a shorter drive as well as a shorter wait. From the hillside streets above, Dilworth and Glenmore both, it is a downhill run of a few minutes.
