About Isabey Interiors
Interior design work usually starts long before anything gets bought. Measurements, light, sightlines and the way a household actually moves through its rooms come first, and the sofa is close to the last decision rather than the first. Isabey Interiors is based at 1751 Harvey Ave in Kelowna, on the main road linking the downtown core with the shopping and service strip further east.
What a design studio takes on ranges widely. Some work only on furnishings and finishes, pulling fabric, paint, lighting, window treatments and case goods into a single scheme, while others carry a project from drawings through the trades and site visits to the final styling. The difference matters to a budget, and so does the way fees are structured, whether hourly, as a flat project fee, or built into the cost of what gets supplied. Ask about that early, along with lead times, because ordered furniture and imported fabric can take months to arrive and a renovation schedule has to bend around it.
Kelowna throws a few local variables into the mix. Hillside houses in Dilworth, Wilden and Black Mountain are built for the view, which means large glazed elevations, strong afternoon light and real questions about glare, fading and heat gain that shape the choice of blinds and finishes. Lakeside places in the Mission deal with sand, wet swimsuits and constant coming and going through July. Older houses near the core carry their own quirks of scale and ceiling height. Bringing photographs, rough dimensions and a realistic budget to a first conversation makes it a far more productive one.
