About EB Games
Video games are one of the few retail goods people still like to buy in person, partly for the trade in counters these shops generally run and partly because staff who play know things a search box does not. EB Games operates from 2271 Harvey Avenue, one of many businesses at a shared shopping centre address on the Dilworth side of Kelowna, and the store line is +1 250-868-9093.
A call is genuinely useful here, more than in most shops. Stock on new releases, preorder availability, whether a particular console or accessory is on the shelf and what a used title is fetching are all questions with answers that change day to day, and none of them are worth a drive across town to discover. If you are bringing hardware or discs in, ask what condition and completeness are expected before you pack the bag, since standards differ and turning up with a controller missing its cable is a wasted trip.
The location suits that kind of errand. Harvey Avenue is the drive to retail corridor for much of the city, reachable from Glenmore, Rutland and the hillside streets above without crossing downtown, and the centre is built to be driven to, which makes a short visit painless outside the busiest weeks. Those busiest weeks are predictable: the run up to the winter holidays, and the hot dry stretch of summer when the valley's visitor numbers swell and indoor shopping becomes the fallback plan on a scorching afternoon. Go midweek if you want time to talk to somebody at the counter rather than shuffling forward in a queue.
