Opa! of Greece
About Opa! of Greece
Inside the big retail complex at 2271 Harvey Avenue, an address shared with well over eighty other businesses on the Dilworth side of Kelowna, Opa! of Greece feeds the shopping crowd along the city's main highway corridor. Harvey Avenue is Highway 97 running through the middle of the city, the road most residents use to move between the north and south ends, which makes this one of the easiest addresses in town to reach and one of the harder ones to park at on a summer Saturday. The counter answers at 250-860-6721.
Food court kitchens work to a rhythm that rewards timing. Lines build at noon and again in the early evening, and the quiet stretch between them is the pleasant time to eat. Quick service counters of this kind generally grill or plate to order rather than build from a long prepared line, which keeps the wait reasonable even during a rush. If you have an allergy or want something built differently, say so at the counter rather than assuming a standard build, and ask about larger sharing portions when you are feeding several people at once.
Shoppers combining errands should think about where else they are heading first. This Dilworth complex draws traffic from Rutland, Glenmore and the hillside neighbourhoods above the city, while the Lower Mission and Kettle Valley crowd comes up the lake side of town to reach it. Interior entrances beat circling the lot for a close stall. Opening times for a complex and for the individual businesses inside it are not always the same thing, so a quick call before a late run saves a wasted trip up the highway.
