About Co-op
Some errands are measured in minutes rather than dollars. A quick stop in the middle of a city is about being able to pull in, get one thing and get out again, which is why convenience formats live or die on location and layout rather than on range. Fuel, cold drinks, snacks, a handful of grocery basics and the odd household item make up most of what actually moves through the door.
Co-op operates at 3103 33 Ave, in the downtown core where Vernon's main street storefronts sit and Polson Park marks the southern edge. Downtown here is flat and walkable in a way the surrounding hills are not, so a central stop catches both the drivers passing through on their way somewhere and the people already on foot working through errands in the same few blocks.
One thing worth understanding about co-operative retailers in general: membership usually plays some part, and how it works, what it costs to join and what comes back to members differs from one organisation to the next. If that side of it matters to you, ask at the counter or over the phone rather than assuming. Hours are the other question, because the whole point of a stop like this is knowing it will be open when you arrive, and in a city with four real seasons the summer and winter patterns are not always the same.
