About Crown Resort Motel
Beds fill early in a lake town, and anyone arriving in Penticton on a July weekend without a reservation learns that within about twenty minutes. Crown Resort Motel stands at 950 West Lakeshore Drive, on the Okanagan Lake side of the city, where the beach and the channel entrance are the whole reason people come.
Motels along a waterfront differ on the practical things. Whether a room has a kitchenette, whether parking sits at the door, whether there is a pool, what the check in window is, and whether a minimum stay applies over long weekends are all worth confirming when the booking is made rather than discovering on arrival. Anyone travelling with a dog, or with more people than beds, should raise it on the same call.
The number is 250-492-4092 and there is a site at crownmotel.ca. Both are worth using well ahead for anything in July or August, when the city takes on visitors from across the province and the mid August Peach Festival adds a weekend of its own. May and September are the quieter months, when the weather still holds and the beaches are not shoulder to shoulder. From this end of town, everything else the city offers is a short drive.
