About Blind Angler
Fishing has shaped the rhythm of this shoreline for as long as people have been coming to it, and the name over the door at 5899 Beach Avenue nods to that plainly enough. Blind Angler sits on the strip where the walkway, the beaches and the small commercial core share a few hundred metres of frontage on Okanagan Lake.
A restaurant in a town like this lives two lives. From late spring through the boating season the room fills with day trippers off the water and visitors staying nearby, and in the shoulder months it belongs again to the residents who keep it going the rest of the year. That pattern shapes everything from the size of the kitchen crew to the length of the menu, and it is the reason hours in Peachland are worth confirming by phone rather than assuming from a map.
Useful things to raise when you call: whether a table can be held for a group, whether there is seating outdoors and what happens to it when the weather turns, and how food to go is handled if you would rather eat out on the walkway. Parking along the waterfront is limited and fills fast on hot weekends, so leaving the car further along the strip and walking in is often quicker than circling the block. Coming over from Kelowna or down from the upper streets, the drive is short and scenic, but the last few hundred metres are the slow part in July.
