About Porto Peach
Visitors who stay on the waterfront tend to eat within a few doors of where they sleep, and 5830 Beach Avenue works in both directions. Porto Peach is at that number, in a building shared with another business on the same short stretch of shore, a few steps from the walkway and the beaches.
Any restaurant on a beach strip in the Okanagan is really running two businesses at once. Through the boating season it feeds a steady stream of day trippers, boaters and people staying nearby, and through the rest of the year it belongs to the residents of a town of under six thousand. Menus, hours and seating all flex to match, which is why the same room can feel like an entirely different place in February and in July.
Have a look at portopeach.com before you go, and phone if you need something specific, such as a table for a group, seating outdoors, or an order to carry out onto the walkway. Ask about timing during the busy months, since a beachfront kitchen in full season runs to a very different clock than the same kitchen in April. And plan for the parking, because Beach Avenue fills early on hot weekends and the shoreline path makes the walk in from a few hundred metres away a pleasure rather than a chore.
