About Kozo Cafe
Between a morning at the beach and whatever the afternoon holds, most people are not looking for a long sit down meal. Kozo Cafe is at 8143 Main Street, in the downtown blocks where the shops, the water and the highway route all sit close together.
Restaurant kitchens in a beach town vary widely in how quickly they turn a table, which matters in a town where a good part of the day is spent outdoors. What that looks like in practice differs from one place to another, so if you are arriving with a group, or trying to eat between a swim and an appointment on the vineyard benches, a quick call or a look at the menu posted at the door saves a lot of guesswork.
Osoyoos concentrates a great deal into a small footprint. The lake is long and warm, the surrounding hills are genuinely desert, and the vineyards on the benches above town feed an industry that draws people down the valley all season. Downtown, where Main Street meets the water, holds most of the eating, shopping and accommodation within a few blocks. Because the visitor season is compressed into a handful of months, the town moves at two speeds through the year, and the calm of an October afternoon here has very little in common with the middle of August.
