About Jammer's
Below the hillside streets of Dilworth, where houses wrap the mountain and trade yard space for a view over the lake, the valley floor carries most of the everyday commercial traffic in this part of Kelowna. Jammer's sits on that flat at 1969 Harvey Ave, a convenient stop for anyone moving between downtown and the northeast side of the city.
Buying a bottle in the Okanagan is a slightly different exercise than it is elsewhere in the province. The vineyards that draw visitors to the valley also mean local wine turns up on shelves that would carry nothing but national labels in another town, and the same increasingly goes for beer and cider made within an hour of here. Shops differ in how they balance that against cold storage, spirits and the ordinary things people run out of on a Friday evening. If you are buying for a dinner or an event, calling ahead with a budget and a style in mind usually produces a better result than wandering the aisles hoping something jumps out.
Provincial rules apply the same way everywhere, so carry identification if you look anywhere near the line, and it is worth confirming hours before a special trip since they are set by each store rather than by any single standard. Kelowna spreads along the water and up the slopes, and the Harvey corridor is one of the few routes that stitches those parts of the city together quickly, which makes a stop here something you fold into a drive home rather than a separate errand of its own. Traffic along this stretch is noticeably heavier in July and August when the city fills with visitors, so allow a few extra minutes in high summer.
