Asian Pear Buffet
About Asian Pear Buffet
Buffet dining has a rhythm of its own, and it suits a highway address better than a quiet side street. Asian Pear Buffet is at 2050 Harvey Ave, on the commercial corridor that carries Highway 97 through the centre of Kelowna below Dilworth Mountain, where shopping centres, car lots and big-box retail line both sides of the road.
What varies most between one buffet and the next is timing rather than price. Trays are refreshed on a schedule, so arriving near the front of a service period usually means hotter food and a fuller line than turning up at the tail end of one. Lunch and dinner are commonly priced differently, weekends tend to be busier, and a larger group is easier on the room if the kitchen knows in advance that you are coming. Anyone eating around an allergy should be cautious in a shared-tray setting and ask staff directly rather than reading the labels and hoping, because cross contact is the normal risk of the format.
Getting here is simple, which is both the convenience and the catch: Harvey Avenue is the road nearly everyone in the city uses at some point in the day. Left turns across it can be awkward, so work out your approach direction before you set off, and expect the corridor to slow noticeably through the late afternoon. This part of town is laid out around driving rather than walking. From Rutland, Glenmore or the Mission it is a short and obvious drive, and the surrounding blocks make it easy to combine with other errands.
