About Town Centre Dry Cleaners
Dry cleaning and coin operated laundry on Pleasant Valley Road, run by Barb Stebbings in Armstrong.
Town Centre Dry Cleaners and Coin Laundry operates from 3495 Pleasant Valley Road in Armstrong, run by Barb Stebbings, offering both professional dry cleaning and coin operated self serve laundry machines under the same roof. Pairing the two services means a household can drop off a load of delicates for cleaning while running a comforter or a batch of towels through the coin machines in the same visit.
A coin laundry has a particular role in a small town beyond the households who lack their own machines: acreage properties on well water sometimes prefer municipal water for certain loads, visitors passing through during fair week need a place to do a wash, and anyone between moves or dealing with a broken machine at home has somewhere to turn without driving to Vernon. Dry cleaning alongside it covers the wool coats, suits and linens that a home washer cannot handle, which matters even in a farming community where most daily laundry is far more practical than delicate.
Services like this one tend to survive in small towns precisely because they are unglamorous and necessary rather than discretionary, and a single location that covers both dry cleaning and coin laundry reduces the number of separate stops a household needs to make. For Armstrong residents and the farms surrounding it in Spallumcheen township, having that combination in town rather than folded into a Vernon shopping trip is a small but real convenience.
