Armstrong is quiet in the good way, farming ground and horse country north of the channel, and most of the places we look after there belong to owners who bought them for that reason. A rental there works well precisely because the town is calm, but the guest messages, the rate updates and the Saturday swap of linens do not care how calm the town is, and they do not slow down just because the property is a way out from Kelowna.
So we run that side of it. We answer guests before and during their stay, handle check-in and check-out, and arrange the cleaning, the linen and the maintenance, so nobody has to come up from Kelowna to open a door.
Small North Okanagan places draw a certain kind of guest, the sort who notices when the road is clear and the stables are next door, and they notice a heater that quits just as fast.
