What a claim does

Your corrections jump the queue. Hours, phone, address, the description: you are the source, so I take your word over a field I found somewhere else.
The page is marked as claimed. Readers can see the details came from the business and not from a data feed, which matters more than most owners expect.
You hear from me before big changes. If I am about to move the listing to a different category or drop something from it, I email you first instead of doing it quietly.
It is still free. There is no upsell after this, no account to create and no invoice later.

What it does not do

Claiming does not hand you the page, it does not move you up any list, and it does not give you editorial control over a guide that mentions the business. I write what I think and I keep publishing what is accurate. You can tell me I am wrong, and sometimes you will be right.

If you would rather the listing came down entirely, say so in the message. I take it down and I do not ask why.
