Car Washes
Wise Guys
About Wise Guys
Okanagan roads do a number on a vehicle. Summer dust off the orchard and vineyard roads, salt and grit through the winter months, and a spring layer of pollen that settles on anything left outdoors all give a car in this valley plenty to shed. Wise Guys operates at 2931 Skaha Lake Rd in Penticton.
Skaha Lake Road is one of the arterial routes running south from the downtown core toward the beach at the Skaha end of the city, which makes a stop here part of the way in or out rather than a detour. Penticton sits on a narrow neck of land between two lakes, and the practical effect of that shape is that almost nothing in the city is far from anything else. A wash fits into a run of errands without much planning, and the location is convenient for anyone heading south toward Oliver and Osoyoos or north toward Summerland.
Car washes differ more than the sign out front lets on. Some are automatic bays, some are self serve wands with a coin or card box, some offer hand washing, vacuums, mat cleaning or interior detailing, and the equipment on site decides what is possible. If your vehicle is oversized, carries a roof rack, or is towing a trailer or a boat, confirm that the bay will take it before you pull in. The same goes for a truck coming off a dusty summer job site, or a vehicle wanting an undercarriage rinse after a winter run over the Connector. Weather matters too, since freezing days change what an outdoor bay can do, and a hot dry week in July tends to bring everyone out at once.
